Sneaky peek... and our new DT Members!

Looking for this week's challenge?? Please click HERE or scroll down. Thanks :)

Hello, friends!
Our Sneak Peek post is a special one this month, since I've got the ultimate pleasure to introduce you to our new CASE Study DT members!!! We are very proud and happy to have them with us, so please join us in welcoming these lovely and talented ladies!

Photobucket

In May of 2008, I moved to New York from the Philippines to marry my college sweetheart and best friend. I used to be a practicing Veterinarian back home and am now a vet assistant at my husband's animal hospital. A year after I settled here, I asked my husband what Michael's was. (Paper crafting isn't really a big thing back home.) Instead of explaining it, he SHOWED me. Oh my goodness, I was like a kid in a huge toy store! After that trip I tried out scrapbooking. I wasn't completely happy with it though. But in January of 2010, I found the wonderful world of card making and blogging. I've stopped scrapbooking and am completely into card making now-a-days. I haven't looked back since! :)

Hi, my name is Julie Smith (hobbywoman on SCS) and I am soooo excited to be a part of the CaseStudy DT. I am married, have 2 teenage boys, and work full time selling insurance. I started out stamping many years ago…dabbled in that a bit, then did some scrapbooking, and eventually came back around – full circle to stamping again. I’d say it’s almost an obsession at this point! When I have free, time you can either find me in my stamp room or surfing the internet looking for inspiration to stamp something!

Photobucket

Hi my name is Melyssa Connolly aka croppixie. I live in Harmony (I love saying that!), Nova Scotia with my husband and 14 year old son. I've been drawing and doodling from the time I could hold a pencil. I started scrapbooking about 10 years ago.
About 5 years after that I discovered digital scrapbooking and never looked back! Well that is until 3 years ago when I started card crafting. Now I have a new use for all my scrapbook supplies! I'm currently on the design team for Whimsie Doodles and The Greeting Farm. I cannot wait to start creating CASE study cards! I'm always looking for inspiration and Case Study is a perfect place for that. You can always find me in my craft room with a stamp in one hand and a tea in the other or visit me on my blog at www.fantastink.blogspot.com

At the same time, we hope that you'll stop by Carole's blog, who's unfortunately no longer with us, and thank her for sharing her extraordinary talent and personality with all of us!
Cindy's time as a CSC Designer is soon coming to an end too, we wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

Now, I haven't forgot about giving you a clue about who our next Muse is....

Any ideas?? Guess away!!
(and don't forget that you've still got time to play with our current challenge!)

CASE Study Challenge #12

Hello, are you ready for a new dose of inspiration?

Before we get to the merit though, let's join us in saying a big thank you to Carole, since it's her last week with us... We love this girl to pieces and she'll be greatly missed, but at the same time we're very happy for her, for there are some really BIG news coming - keep an eye on her blog and you'll see what I mean!
Also, Cindy has to leave us too, unfortunately, although she will stay with us for one more week. She recently made some changes in her life that allow for no extra work, but oh my! we all wish we had this sort of change coming along the way - Cindy is now working full time for her favourite scrapbooking store! Woot!

The effect of this situation is that we had some vacancies in our Team, that were filled by a couple of absolutely amazing girls!! We are going to introduce our new Design Team members this weekend, in our regular "Sneak Peek" post, so stay tuned!

Now, let's see what inspiration we've got in store for you...

It's also the last week for Barbara... It's been great to have her, and we'll miss her beautiful cards. Thank you so much, Barb!!
Let's show our appreciation for the artwork that she shared with us all, and fill up the gallery with some gorgeous creations, shall we? :)

CASE Study Challenge #9

Happy Thursday, peeps!! Here we are, at the beginning of another month of challenges. I can't believe it's been two months already!?
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Mariana Grigsby for being oursuch a fabulous Muse for September! I'm sure you all enjoyed last month as much as we did :) You rock, chica!

Today we would like to introduce you to our Muse for October. Ladies and gents, here's the ultra-talented Barbara Anders!!

Here's what Barbara has to say in her own words:

I live in South Central Virginia, right on the North Carolina line, in Martinsville (think NASCAR) with my husband and best friend, John, and our nine (yes, 9) rescue cats. I'm a registered nurse, currently working as a nurse manager for a home health agency, but I'm hoping to retire soon. I've always been a crafter & I can't remember not either doing some sort of needlework or craft, even as a child, and was inspired by both of my parents to be creative with my hands. I also love to garden and that's why I need to retire -I don't have enough time now to do all the fun things I want to do.

I got into stamping in a round-about way. I started a small scrapbook about five years ago for an annual event we hosted and never expected to go much further with it. But while looking online for inspiration for layouts, I ran across blogs with cards and other paper crafts. I've never done that and it looked like fun so I bought some stamps and supplies at a craft store and made some simple cards. Then I found a Stampin' Up demonstrator who taught me a lot and the rest, as they say, is history! I was totally hooked. I found Splitcoast Stampers and studied all the galleries, learning from every card I saw and never looked back.

I'm so honored to be CASE Study's Muse for October. Thank you! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Welcome, Barbara - we're thrilled have you!!
Here's the magnificent card, that we chose to work with this week:

It's a simple yet stunning CAS design, and we're sure that it will get your creative juices flowing!
